Here are our favorite things to see and do in Jay, VT.

They are in no particular order.
Jay Peak is only 10 minutes from Strom Haus!! Featuring a year-round indoor waterpark, ice arena, new recreation center with climbing wall, championship golf course, disc golf course the NorthEast’s best skiing and snowboarding!!
So many roads, so many options…
Hiking right outside the door on Vermont’s famous Long Trail!!
The main entrance to the trail head is approx. 45+ minute walk depending on how much of nature you like to take in OR you can drive to the trail head & park your vehicle & hike to the Canadian border!!
Jay Peak has a magnificent golf course designed by Graham Cooke. This one will challenge even the expert in your group. There’s also many others in the surrounding areas within 20-60 minutes away. Ask us about some of our other favorite places to go in the NEK!!
5. Brewery Tours!!
There are so many breweries to visit.
Our recommendation is if your into brewery tours, contact the Jay Way Jitney!! Within 1-2 hours you can visit quite a few!! Just give them a call & your on your way to Kingdom Brewery, Lost Nation, The Alchemist, Rock Art, Lawson’s, Hill Farmstead, Stowe. You decide, they’ll be your ride!!
6. Lake Memphremagog!!
Beautiful lake that borders Canada. Nearby Newport, VT is only a 20 minute drive & once there you can take in the views, have lunch or dinner or even take a boat ride!! Newport golf course & Luis Garneau Outlet Bicycle cothing is also nearby!!
7. Water Park
Waterpark at Jay Peak is a lot of fun for the whole family!!
Wether your into hitting the slides, surfing away or floating on he lazy river, this is the place for you!! There’s also, cabana’s for the family, an arcade & even a bar area for the adults. Summertime opens up the roof & also the out door pool area & hot tub!!
If you have your own sled, head out on the trails right outside the door. If not, go on over to Jay Snowmobile Tours, 3 miles up the road. Mark will hook you up on a great tour!!
10. Head on over to Canada!!
The Canadian border is only 2 miles away & from there you can do some duty free shopping, there’s an amazing bakery in Masonville called Owls Bread, the best pecan pie we’ve ever had!! If you up for it go on over to Owls Head & ski/golf at Par or even go Montreal if you feel like it(its only 90-minutes away).
